Spicy Peanut Sauce

A sweet-and-spicy peanut dressing for noodles, salads and bowls.

5 minPrep

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup natural creamy peanut butter (no salt or sugar added)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2–2 tablespoons water, depending on preferred thickness
  • 1 tablespoon Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Substitute or reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Steps

  1. Whisk everything together until smooth, adding water until it's as thick or thin as you like.
Heart-healthy notes

Natural peanut butter and the homemade soy sauce substitute cut the salt, and a tablespoon of honey replaces the maple syrup. Peanut butter's fat is mostly unsaturated, but a little goes a long way.
